愛知県三河地方の鬼瓦職人　鬼師　により丁寧に手捻りで仕上げた植木鉢です。

植木鉢に厄除けを意味する　鬼　を表現いたしました。
鬼に合わせて、本体を荒々しい質感に仕上げました。
塊根植物、珍奇植物、懸崖樹形盆栽などの個性的な植物によく合います。

鬼面の成形には型を使うため、鬼の顔は画一的です。鉢の成形にろくろは使いませんので、鉢自体に激しい歪みや凹凸があります。

鉢上部の縁はランダムに土をちぎった表現をしています。ちぎれ具合は破損ではありませんのでご了承ください。

This planter is carefully hand-built by an Onishi (traditional demon roof tile artisan) from the Mikawa region of Aichi Prefecture.
The design features a demon (Oni), a symbol of protection against misfortune. The body of the pot is finished with a rugged, bold texture to match the character of the demon.
It pairs beautifully with unique plants such as caudiciforms, exotic species, and cascading bonsai.
The demon face is created using a mold, so each face is uniform. The pot itself is hand-shaped without a wheel, resulting in natural irregularities and uneven surfaces.
The rim of the pot is intentionally torn and rough, giving each piece a distinctive character. These textures are not defects.
